You could also cover them with a blanket or bed sheet. This tactic is used quite often when springtime temperatures drop and the garden was already planted. This will keep the entire garden warmer. 5-Keep the air moving
Many commercial growers use this tactic by employing large fans to keep the air moving. By keeping the air moving it wards off frost.
